NSBE kicks off Annual Convention in Pittsburgh, PA

The 2006 annual convention of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) kicked off Wednesday, March 29, in Pittsburgh, PA. The 3-day conference which ends April 2nd, celebrates the 32nd anniversary of the largest student-managed organization in the country. General session speakers include - Dr. Randal Pinkett, president and CEO of BCT Partners and winner of "The Apprentice"; Dr. Gwendolyn E. Boyd, Johns Hopkins University; and Dr. Pradeep Khosla, dean of the College of Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. Other highlights are a College and Graduate School Fair; the 9th Annual Golden Torch Awards Hosted by Ed Gordon; and a Comedy show. NSBE is comprised of more than 270 chapters on college and university campuses, 75 Alumni Extension chapters nationwide and 75 Pre-College chapters.
