The Mississippi e-Center at Jackson State University

In 2001, when Allstate Insurance Company donated its former Sunbelt Support Center, a 192,600-square-foot facility valued at $20.5 million, to Jackson State University, it became one of the largest single gifts to the historically Black Mississippi university. Four years later, the Mississippi e-Center at JSU is a major technology research and incubation center for information technology-based businesses.
