Cornell University and HBCU Library Alliance to create digital library

Hampton, Southern, Tennessee State, and Tuskegee and are part of a group of 10 historically black colleges and universities selected to participate in the initial phase of a project to digitize and make available on institutional Websites a wide variety of records reflecting the history of America’s black colleges. Cornell University Library has been awarded a $400,000 grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to partner with the Historically Black College and Universities Library Alliance in an initiative that will lay the foundation for a future HBCU digital library.
