Science, Technology and Engineering Employment on Decline in US

During the second half of the 20th century, strong demand in the United States for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) professionals fueled significant growth across all of science and its allied fields. But following years of robust growth, the STEM share of all US employment has dropped to levels last seen during the mid-90s, according to a report released by the Commission on Professionals in Science and Technology (CPST).
