Morgan State University Reelects Mfume as Chairman Rev. Dr. Frances Draper Elected Vice-Chair and Tyrone Taborn Elected Secretary

Morgan State’s Kweisi Mfume has been reelected chairman of Morgan State University’s Board of Regents. Rev. Dr. Frances “Toni” Draper, the great granddaughter of the founder of the Afro-American Newspaper and senior pastor of Freedom Temple AME Zion Church was also elected as the vice-chairman. Tyrone Taborn, publisher of the US Black Engineer Magazine, will serve as board secretary.

10 Historically Black Colleges, Universities awarded STEM Capacity building Grants

Morgan State and Prairie View A&M are among 10 historically Black colleges and universities selected to take part in a three-year research project pertaining to STEM education, with the ultimate goal of improving STEM capacity among African Americans and other under-represented students.
