Editors,

Dr. Mark Dean gets respect from me.  Thanks for enlightening at least one person.

Editors,

I have a grandson (second grader) who is expected to give a report on an African-American inventor and include pictures of him and his invention.  Would you be so kind to share where we might get more info and pictures on Dr. Mark Dean and specifically his contributions to the personal computer?  Thanking you in advance for your help.

Dear Editors,

My name is Douglas Bailey and I am a senior high school student in South
Carolina.  I was searching Blackengineer.com and I came across your
article from 8/30/01 about Dr. Mark Dean.  I must say that the information
provided in the article was very beneficial.  I believe that sites like this are
essential for young African Americans like myself  I was wondering, if it's possible, if you could send to me Dr. Dean's email address so that he could inform me of the pros and cons of technology.  I would like for him to explain in a little more detail to me the careers in technology so that I may determine if a career in the field is right for me.

Dear Editors,

Hi!  Just wanted you to know that I made copies of the article for our
Community-based, non-traditional Girl Scouts, many of whom are
African-American, and are from Acres Home and Third Ward, two historically
African-American neighborhoods in Houston.

Our Girl Scout Council is the largest in Texas, and the second-largest in
the nation, and so I think our girls need to know that if Dr. Mark can do
it, they can too!

I wonder if he would like to visit and speak to our troops!  H-Town is being
hailed as the new Hollywood (just joking)!

Thank you for writing this!
