Lockheed Martin names New Perfomance VP for Govt. IT

Lockheed Martin Corporation has named Sonya Stewart vice president, Performance excellence at the Enterprise Solutions & Services (ES&S) business unit. In her new position, Stewart will be responsible for ensuring strong business performance excellence through the oversight and integration of all program activities, infrastructure operations and business processes. Lockheed Martin Enterprise Solutions & Services specializes in government information technology.

Stewart joins the ES&S from Lockheed Martin Corporate Headquarters, where she was corporate vice president for Workforce Diversity Management. She was previously a program director for the Global Mission Solutions line of business at Lockheed Martin Technical Operations.

Before joining Lockheed Martin in 1997, Stewart was an officer in the United States Air Force conducting intelligence-based engineering research and development.

Stewart holds a bachelor and master of science degree in electrical engineering from North Carolina A&T State University.
