STEMBoard and Exacta Solutions have been awarded a $947 million, five-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). Their partners in this venture include WiSC Enterprises, LLC, VT Group (VTG), SAIC, WWC Global (a Pequot Company), ProCleared LLC, and Government Solutions Consulting.
STEMBoard CEO, Aisha Bowe, (standing in a white suit in this archive photo from BEYA 2013) expressed her gratitude to the executive team and partners and stated that the achievement is a testament to the expertise and dedication of the team.
Over the next five years, they will compete for eight task orders. Bowe has a background in aerospace engineering and is passionate about closing the opportunity gap for underrepresented groups in STEM fields.
STEMBoard creates smart systems for large-scale clients, identifying technical gaps and executing programs that lead to solutions in data analytics, IT services, and geospatial visualization. They also have an Education Directorate and launched LINGO, a teen coding kit.
In 2013, Bowe co-led a panel at the BEYA STEM Conference, which featured experts from NASA, the White House, and the Department of Energy.
As the CEO and co-founder of STEMBoard, Bowe leads a technology solutions company that specializes in mobile web development, device programming, aerospace, and defense engineering.
The company has worked on algorithms for flight control and air traffic automation, material engineering problems, and the development of cellular base stations deployed to Afghanistan. As CEO, Bowe manages multi-million dollar defense contracts and private sector clients and is responsible for the defense work at STEMBoard.
Before starting STEMBoard, Bowe worked as a researcher at NASA and focused on improving air traffic management. She is passionate about promoting STEM education for minority youth and has hosted STEM camps executed by STEMBoard subject matter experts.
Bowe was featured on the December 20, 2020, episode of High-Tech Sunday, where she discussed her efforts to close the opportunity gap for underrepresented individuals in STEM fields. STEMBoard creates intelligent systems and solutions for large-scale federal and private-sector clients, identifying technical gaps and executing programs that lead to solutions in data analytics, IT services, and geospatial visualization.
In June 2020, STEMBoard launched LINGO, a teen coding kit designed to teach basic coding and engineering concepts to students at home or as part of a virtual camp or school program.
Bowe has received several awards, including The 40 Under 40: Tech Diversity – Silicon Valley, the U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce Emerging Star Award, and NASA's Engineering Honor Award. She is a member of the National Society of Black Engineers and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and she sits on the University of Michigan Aerospace Department Industry Advisory Board.
