Eric Price, the vice president of human resources at Career Communications Group, Inc., recently passed the SHRM Senior Certified Professional Exam.
Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) certifications are for individuals whose work involves developing, overseeing, and directing an HR enterprise or aligning HR strategies to organizational goals.
Reflecting on Price's achievements on LinkedIn, a former colleague from Career Communications Group (CCG) wrote that Price is dedicated to fulfilling his employer's mission and motivating his co-workers.
In addition to his CCG duties, Price has led several opportunities for professional development among employees, and has created numerous seminars and training opportunities which were presented to large audiences at both the Women of Color STEM Conference and the BEYA STEM Conference.
As a corporate trainer at Dunbar Armored, another colleague wrote on LinkedIn that Price used his knowledge of training and teaching to design, develop, and deliver classes to managers and employees on topics such as leadership development, customer service, various software and operating systems, and new employee orientation.
In his role as a trainer, he assisted the training department with recruitment, hiring, and training, and demonstrated excellent abilities to help match the right person for the job.
He completed a national training needs assessment and helped write and deliver the training to managers and employees for a company-wide human resource information system launch.
His ability to learn new technologies quickly led him to be instrumental in helping launch an e-learning initiative that included over 50 training classes he helped develop. His understanding of systems led to him being promoted to project lead and then the human resources director for later implementing another human resource information system.
