Coalesce 2
Coalesce Beauty, a natural body and hair product manufacturer in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, has launched a new product aimed at giving back to historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs).
Coalesce Beauty founder and CEO, Theresa Watson, has announced that that the company will donate a percentage of overall purchases from her beauty line to HBCUs for technology and scholarships.
Watson, its principals and shareholders, have also announced a new Student Ambassador Program, designed to give HBCU students an opportunity to earn while they learn, and pay off tuition and fees prior to graduation.
Matriculating HBCU students can now earn commissions at a rate of 16% for every dollar sold of Coalesce Beauty products, while developing valuable sales skills via the company’s sales training platform which will be delivered via video.
“With the current student loan debt reaching twice the national credit card debt of Americans, we must address the need of our students to offset the debt levels they face upon graduation. We believe our Ambassador Program offers a seamless solution to an overwhelming fiscal crisis affecting many of today’s youth,” says Watson.
Additionally, the program bolsters the company’s HBCU Corporate Buyer’s Club, since the total dollar amounts sold by each HBCU student body garners a 3% contribution from Coalesce Beauty to each school for technology and scholarships.
The Coalesce Student Ambassador Program looks forward to making its debut at North Carolina A&T, Johnson C. Smith, Florida Memorial University, Hampton University, Wilberforce University, Allen University, Morris Brown, Paul Quinn, Livingstone College, Shaw, Edward Waters College, and Bennett College.
“We are looking forward to the day when we have 100 colleges and universities on board,” said CEO Theresa Watson.
