More than 200 employees from information technology, enrollment management, finance, and administration were at a Technology Summit held August 1st, two weeks before "Jaguars" started moving into the Southern University A&M College campus.
Dr. Habib P. Mohamadian, interim dean of Southern University A&M College's Office of Graduate and Professional Studies, joined the Division of Information Technology as it hosted its annual tech summit. Previously, Mohamadian (in gray suit) served as dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Science.
Using its network infrastructure, Southern's Division of Information Technology is delivering new mobile apps to students, faculty, and staff that give them access to resources across Southern University and A&M campuses.
JagQ, a mobile app first introduced during the summer of 2016, will help eliminate long lines during registration.
With the help of the app, students are able to schedule an appointment with a financial aid advisor- freeing up time to handle other business on campus.
Dr. Mohamadian's Office of Graduate Studies serves 1,100 enrolled students each year. Members of the IT division staff work with faculty, university staff, and students to provide network services support, and enterprise technology services.
