To date, more than 200 students and faculty/administrators at Morgan State University have been awarded a Fulbright Scholarship.
This spring, Dr. Omar J. Khan, an associate professor of marketing and international business in the Earl G. Graves School of Business and Management, became the most recent addition to the growing number of Fulbright-related grants awarded to Morgan students, graduates, professors, and administrators.
According to the announcement, the award will allow Dr. Khan to perform research and teach at the University of Jordan during the Spring 2019 semester.
An accomplished scholar, Khan has authored more than 65 academic articles on regionalization, cultural polarization, and the global supply chain.
Khan also serves as a faculty advisor for Morgan’s student chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA). He is a recent recipient of the AMA Outstanding Faculty Advisor Award.
In 1946, Congress gave birth to the Fulbright Program under the guidance of Senator J. William Fulbright. The program provides Americans the opportunity to increase mutual understanding around the world.
The Fulbright U.S. Student Program is the largest exchange program offering opportunities to undertake advanced research, university teaching, and primary and secondary school teaching worldwide.
