Selected students who have gone above and beyond their educational commitment in science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) will receive awards at the 2020 BEYA STEM Conference. The event takes place at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park Hotel on February 13-15.
Each year, the BEYA STEM Conference brings professionals and students together for three days to share their experiences and career information, while networking with attendees from around the country, and participating in seminars and workshops that explore every facet of STEM career paths. The goal of the BEYA Conference is to create connections between students, educators, and professionals while facilitating partnerships with individuals and their local STEM resources.
The Student Leadership Award serves to recognize students who are striving to make outstanding contributions to the varied aspects of STEM education and who have demonstrated a commitment to volunteering while learning.
The Student Research Award recognizes students who are striving to make excellent contributions through research and presentations advancing science and their university.
The Student Community Award honors students who are striving to make outstanding contributions to STEM through volunteering on campus and engaging with the local community.
The Student Academic Award is presented to students who uphold the principals of scholarship in a positive way.
The Student-Athlete Award recognizes the drive and determination of talented students who perform in the classroom and sports.
