The Top Supporters of HBCU Engineering Programs Announcement and LIVE Webinar featured rankings and a panel discussed the importance of being a supporter of engineering programs at HBCUs.

Panel participants included:

  • Veronica Nelson, Executive Director of Advancing Minorities’ Interest in Engineering (AMIE)
  • Robin Coger, Academic Dean, and Professor of Mechanical Engineering, North Carolina A&T State University
  • Derek McGowan, Program Manager STEM, Generations, Higher Education at Lockheed Martin Corporation
  • Bo Leslie, National Chair of the BEYA Alumni HBCU Initiative, Career Communications Group

For more than a decade, US Black Engineer (USBE) magazine, published by Career Communications Group, host of the annual BEYA STEM Conference, has released the list before the spring edition of USBE magazine.

The Top Supporters of HBCU Engineering rankings are based on a survey about employers that are helping to build America’s diverse science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) pipeline. Each year, USBE magazine’s Top Supporters of HBCU Engineering Schools Survey provides insights into the level of support that HBCU engineering schools get.
