Career Communications Group's Imani Carter launched the results of the 2016 Top Supporters of HBCU Engineering Survey Thursday.
On the webinar were Amanda Goodson, vice chairman of Advancing Minority Interest in Engineering (AMIE), engineering deans from 15 ABET-accredited historically Black colleges and universities, and the publisher of Black Engineer magazine, which has done the top supporters survey for almost 15 years.
ABET accreditation sets the global standard for programs in applied science, computing, engineering, and engineering technology.
The Top Supporters of Historically Black College and University Engineering Schools Survey addresses the value of HBCU engineering to the nation's technology workforce, as well as the methodology used to conduct the survey. This is the 14th year US Black Engineer & Information Technology magazine has conducted the Top Supporters survey.
