The 2nd Annual Global Leadership Forum will take place Thursday, April 5 in Missouri.
The chosen theme for this year’s technology summit "Educate to Action 2.0" reflects the need to inform people of the issues surrounding inequality in the digital economy, as they build toward action.
The one-day event, hosted at the World Wide Technology headquarters, will bring together participants from across America and the world to exchange ideas on disparities in technology.
The conference will consider workforce development and education in diverse communities and facilitate a range of contributions and debate on the combination of science and engineering with art, design, and the performing and visual arts in the 21st century.
Discussions will range from leadership to mentoring, and next-generation leaders.
The partnership organizations that helped launch the Global Leadership Forum (GLF) in 2015 include Black Data Processing Associates, Information Technology Senior Management Forum, Black Women in Science & Engineering, Career Communications Group's Foundation for Educational Development, Inc.; NPower, the National Academy Foundation, Talestry, Micro Ventures, and World Wide Technology.
The 2017 Summit held in Maryland Heights brought together leaders from Fortune 500 companies, nonprofits, the technology startup community, information technology companies, educators, foundation leaders, public policy makers and government officials.
The Summit featured keynote addresses from higher education experts and plenary sessions with tech luminaries.
