During the 2021 BEYA STEM Conference, a diverse group of NetApp employees received the Modern Day Technology Leader award. They included senior managers, project managers, customer assurance program managers, Cloud data services solutions engineers, global enterprise managers, software quality assurance and testing managers, and digital content specialists.
Ed Shephard (top photo) is a senior regional director. He leads digital transformation at some of NetApp's strategic global hi-tech accounts including Apple, Facebook, Nvidia, Intel, Google, Microsoft, Cisco, and Qualcomm. He is responsible for engaging with a cross-functional team that includes direct and indirect sales, professional services, product management, engineering, finance, and legal to drive business outcomes for our customers.
Ed first joined NetApp in June of 2000 as the Silicon Valley North District Manager. After a 7-year hiatus, he rejoined NetApp in 2014 as an enterprise manager on the Apple account. Prior to that, he held sales leadership roles at Rackspace, Accelrys, and Commvault. Ed holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of California, Davis. He also completed the Sales Mastery Leadership & Innovation Program at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
He volunteers his time to Camp Okizu, whose mission is to help all members of families affected by childhood cancer to heal through peer support, respite, mentoring, and recreational programs. He is also an active member of the NetApp Network of Blacks in Tech (NNBT) In February of 2020, Ed was a recipient of the BEYA Modern Day Technology Leadership Award.
Regina Evans is a senior manager at NetApp, Inc. She established processes and procedures for the RRE Engineering team to be able to manage customized engineering projects from the field to drive sales revenue. She also manages the FPVR program which handles over 60 projects a month and enables over $100M in sales revenue a year.
Tymeka Y. Whiteside is an operations program manager with a noteworthy record, including collaborating with C-Suite leaders, middle management, and individual contributors of a six-billion-dollar global company.
