“My hope is that the experience will give students a boost to take the next steps in whatever goals they have planned for their lives,” said program manager Delroy Lindo last year. “I want this program to stand as a profoundly encouraging dynamic for our young people.” The keynote speaker in 2018 was actor, producer, and humanitarian Danny Glover.
The Leadership Development component will provide transformative education in the form of small group projects, critical reading and writing sessions, financial aid and scholarship boot camp, dynamic speakers, and interactive leadership workshops.
At the Well's 9th Grade Weekend Intensive is a mini program designed to increase awareness of the essential tools required to become successful leaders. Sessions focus on writing, small group discussion, leadership workshops, and self-awareness/motivational presentations.
