Registration is open for the 2020 BEYA STEM Conference and "early-bird" registration prices are now available through December 15, 2019. After that, registration prices will be standard until January 31st, 2020. The 34th Annual BEYA STEM Conference is scheduled for February 13 - 15, 2020 at the Marriott Wardman Hotel in Washington D.C.
Each year, the BEYA STEM Conference brings professionals and students together for three days to network, learn, celebrate, and share their experiences and career information. Attendees meet people from around the country while participating in seminars and workshops that explore issues and trends in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) career paths.
The BEYA Conference is co-hosted by Lockheed Martin Corporation, the Council of Engineering Deans of the Historically Black Colleges and Universities, and US Black Engineer & Information Technology Magazine. Conference sponsors include Aerotek, a leading recruitment and staffing agency worldwide, medical device manufacturer Boston Scientific Corporation, and Southwest airlines.
Career opportunities in STEM industries are growing rapidly and employers cannot fill job postings quickly enough. With a wide variety of openings for diverse candidates, it's essential to have the STEM skills necessary to succeed. That's why the goal of the BEYA STEM Conference is to create connections between students, educators, and STEM professionals while facilitating partnerships with individuals and their local STEM resources. Over 2000 job offers were made at the BEYA STEM Job Fair in February 2019.
