The United Negro College Fund (UNCF) has announced several scholarships that close in August. Here are some of the opportunities open for applications in August. Visit UNCF for more information.
The Ralph and Fanny Ellison Scholarship 2022-2023 will financially support college students from New York City YC studying English or music. Applicants must be permanent residents of New York State or Oklahoma. Closes August 11.
Publix has partnered with UNCF to establish the Publix Cares Scholarship Program. The program provides 50 need-based scholarships of up to $2,000, to students enrolled full-time in one of the ten (10) institutions listed in the eligibility requirements. Closes August 15.
The Mrs. Joann Bashinsky Scholarship program awards up to $27,500.00 to each student, each year, for 4-years, if the selected recipient meets the renewal requirements. Closes August 15.
The Tampax Flow It Forward Scholarship Program will provide scholarships of up to $10,000 to African American college juniors who attend an HBCU and are pursuing careers in healthcare. Closes August 16.
The Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation Scholarship program will award 30 need-based scholarships, up to $3,666.66, per year for two years. This program is open to Black, African, or African American students, who share a passion for and a dream of pursuing excellence, a commitment to inspiring and enacting meaningful social change, and a devotion to the service of others. Closes August 17.
The Galactic Unite Black Leaders in Aerospace Scholarship & Training (BLAST) Program, which is managed by Virgin Galactic’s outreach initiative, provides $5,000 scholarship awards to Black/African American undergraduate sophomores, juniors, or seniors pursuing STEM degrees with a focus on aerospace at any accredited four-year college or university in the United States. Closes August 22.
Developed in partnership with UNCF, the AlixPartners MBA Scholarship will provide a $10,000 merit-based scholarship to a first-year MBA student who graduated from a UNCF member institution or selected HBCU with a degree in accounting, analytics, and business, engineering, finance, math, or technology. Closes August 22.
The Richard F. Freeman Scholarship Fund (Michigan) provides financial assistance for deserving first-year college students from Southeast Michigan. Closes August 25.
The Dallas Mavericks are providing five (5) merit-based scholarships to students from the Dallas, Texas area, who are attending or planning to attend any Historically Black College or University this fall. Closes August 31.
The UNCF General Application is used to establish an applicant pool of potentially eligible students for ongoing scholarship opportunities that are unpublished and do not require an online application. Apply by Dec. 21. Visit UNCF for more information.
