Yvette Mouton has devoted most of her life to improving the lives of others. During her impressive career, she has received Presidential awards for her work in the community.
A graduate of Georgetown University Law Center, she was an Assistant United States Attorney with the Department of Justice. Currently, Yvette serves as an AT&T Supplier Diversity Manager.
"Mom always packed extra lunch for my South Bronx projects classmates; and, dad never passed up a panhandler. Consequently, I pray every day to make a difference by helping the underserved in my community," Yvette said.
"Recently, while in church I observed a motherless girl playing a video game. Later, I brought her a package that contained information about AT&T’s STEM programs. The following Sunday, she told me she was in a STEM program at her school. Prayer still works," Yvette said.
Yvette won the Dr. Freeman Hrabowski Legacy Award at the 2018 BEYA STEM Conference, for helping communities excel in science, technology, engineering, math (STEM) and legal education.
As an AT&T Supplier Diversity Manager, Yvette advocates for minority-, women- and disabled veteran-owned businesses. She mentors more than 200 current and prospective enterprises to enable their growth.
Additionally, she manages all AT&T Supplier Diversity communications and publishes a bi-annual Prime Newsletter that spotlights diverse suppliers and current diversity news and events, while providing strategic sourcing initiatives.
Yvette is also the President of the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities Supplier Diversity Development Council (SDDC). This past year, she led the development of a new state-of-the-art SDDC website in collaboration with a woman-owned IT services company.
