I am still reeling from this development, as are Hayward’s colleagues here at FIT. We will forever remember Hayward’s vibrancy, elegance, acuity and minimal accommodation of mediocrity.

A bright light has been dimmed but not forever. Rest in peace, Hayward.

I was shocked to hear this sad news. Hayward was a friend, mentor to students and was always there when you needed him. He was a wonderful supporter of FIT and provided scholarships to needy students studying abroad. I will miss him dearly but will always think of him.

I feel robbed of a friend and a colleague but fortunate to have known Hayward. May his legacy live on through all those he touched.

I was shocked to hear the news about Hayward. I’m heartbroken, Hayward was a dear friend and so generous with his time and a champion of our work here at New York Public Radio WNYC/WQXR. His has touched the lives of many and I’m truly grateful he was my friend. I will miss him dearly.
