Apple has announced that the former president and CEO of The Aerospace Corporation is set to join their board. Dr. Austin has consistently been at the forefront of technological advancements throughout her illustrious career.

Her leadership roles, particularly as the president and CEO of The Aerospace Corporation from 2008 to 2016, highlight her ability to advance innovation successfully.

Austin holds a Ph.D. in industrial and systems engineering and has exemplified excellence throughout her career. Her journey began in 1979 when she joined The Aerospace Corporation, where she served in various leadership roles.

Notably, Dr. Austin held the position of interim president of the University of Southern California from 2018 to 2019. Her leadership extends beyond these roles, as she serves on the boards of renowned companies such as Amgen and Chevron.

Previously, Dr. Austin also served on the board of Virgin Galactic, further showcasing her extensive experience in diverse industries.

Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, expressed his delight in welcoming Dr. Austin to the board, highlighting her extraordinary leadership and expertise.
