Career Communications Group has announced, “The Global Catalyst for Change: Making the untapped potential possible” as the theme for the BEYA STEM Conference in February 2020. “Since our founding 34 years ago, BEYA has been the multicultural incubator for risk-takers, game-changers, and leaders—our own innovation nation,” said  Tyrone Taborn, BEYA Chairman, and Career Communications Group CEO.

“What defines our potential? Potential is about discovery. It’s the knowledge that causes us to rethink. It’s conversations that challenge us to expand our awareness. It’s perspectives that help us to change. It’s BEYA, and by welcoming all to our global table, we continue to enrich our view of our destiny as individual contributors to our nation’s future,” he said.

The BEYA STEM Conference is produced by Career Communications Group in partnership with the Council of Engineering Deans of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and corporate sponsor Lockheed Martin Corporation, a global security, and aerospace company that employs approximately 105,000 people worldwide.

The engineering schools at historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) graduate a significant number of African American graduates who go on to receive their doctorates in science and engineering.  HBCUs produce 27 percent of African American students with bachelor’s degrees in STEM fields, making up a significant percentage of the digital workforce.

Career Communications Group (CCG) is a leading media company that supports employers in promoting diversity in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields through conferences, publications, and websites.
