BALTIMORE/WASHINGTON, DC-Career Communications Group, Inc. is proud to be participating in the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) Tech 2020 initiative.

CBC TECH 2020 is an initiative designed to bring together the best minds in the technology, non-profit, education, and public sectors to broaden African American inclusion at all levels of the tech industry. During this event, Congressional Black Caucus Chairman G. K. Butterfield (NC-01) and Congresswoman Barbara Lee (CA-13), who serve as co-chairs of the CBC Diversity Task Force and CBC TECH 2020, will announce new efforts to increase the numbers of Black professionals in the technology sector.

As one of the partner organizations in CBC Tech 2020, Career Communications Group, (CCG) contributes to this initiative with a pipeline of diverse talent in the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) industry via various talent management programs, including the CCG Pre College and Technology Awareness Programs that promote interest in STEM amongst high school students. CCG also exposes college students to opportunities with its Development Institute for Emerging Leaders (DIEL) and Job Match. Both programs incorporate training and professional development to assist students in building relationships and landing jobs in the STEM industry.

For more than 44 years, the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) has been on the frontlines of fighting for opportunity and equality in education, healthcare, housing, and many other areas. The CBC and the tech industry share a common goal: To transform America by unlocking hidden potential to develop solutions that will improve our lives and those of generations to come. Career Communications Group joins the Congressional Black Caucus in its efforts to increase African American representation in the technology industry.

CBC TECH 2020 will be held December 3, 2015 at the Cannon House Office Building in Washington DC.
