Before this role, Dr. Moore was the vice provost for diversity and inclusion and the chief diversity officer at The Ohio State University, where he managed a diverse student and faculty portfolio.

He also served as the executive director of the Todd Anthony Bell National Resource Center on the African American Male and is recognized for his extensive research in various areas of education, including STEM, gifted, multicultural and urban education.

Dr. Moore has received substantial funding, publications, and recognition for his work.

In his new role at the NSF, he aims to further improve STEM education in underrepresented communities across the United States.
