Maryland’s Attorney General, Anthony Brown, has had a long and successful career in public policy. During his time in Congress, he worked to create policies that would increase accessibility in government operations.

Brown’s forward-thinking approach has positioned Maryland as a leader in tech-driven governance. His commitment to leveraging tech solutions in the legal field has set a new standard, inspiring others to follow in his footsteps.

As AG, he continues to champion innovation and technology to streamline processes and ensure that justice is swift and fair.

Brown has also been recognized for his outstanding leadership in congressional initiatives to boost defense research and development and STEM scholarship funding for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). His tireless efforts have paved the way for increased funding, enabling more students to pursue STEM education at HBCUs.

Brown’s influence extends to launching a National Academies of Science study on research funding at HBCUs and other minority institutions. This groundbreaking study was pivotal in establishing the first HBCU-led University-Affiliated Research Center at Howard University.

Brown will be receiving an award for his contributions at the 38th annual BEYA STEM DTX Conference. His journey is a testament to his belief in the power of innovation, his dedication to public service, and his unwavering commitment to justice.
