The Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education College Rankings 2018 is out, with the voices of more than 200,000 American college students collected through Times Higher Education’s Student Survey.

This year Howard University leads all ABET-accredited historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in the rankings of more than 1,000 US schools, colleges, and universities.

Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc., (ABET) is a non-governmental organization that provides assurance that a college or university program meets the quality standards for programs in applied and natural science, computing, engineering and engineering technology and is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

The Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education College Rankings 2018 rankings are made up of 15 individual performance indicators designed to answer questions such as Does the college have plenty of resources to teach me properly? How likely am I to graduate, get a good job, and pay off my loans?

The calculation of the rankings for 2018 has been subject to independent audit by the professional services firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
