During her acceptance speech, Connie thanked her employer for nominating her for the award and her mother, who was present in the audience, for shaping her into the person she is today.

She explained that her work has been a journey of collaboration with epidemiologists, physicians, health economists, and data scientists to build the right process for designing and evaluating clinical studies that use real-world data to understand how patients benefit from biomedical innovations.
