The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) announced that Tonya Wilkerson, former CIA associate deputy director for science and technology/strategy, has been sworn in as the agency’s ninth deputy director. Prior to her current role, Wilkerson held a number of positions within the National Reconnaissance Office spanning research and development, acquisitions, and operations.
“Ms. Wilkerson is an accomplished intelligence professional with over three decades of experience in the intelligence community,” said NGA Director Vice Adm. Robert Sharp. “Her vast experience and perspective will be of tremendous value to us during these rapidly evolving times.”
