BEYA’s Leading Voices comes to STEM City USA on Friday, June 24. The keynote speaker at the event is Dr. David K. Wilson, president of Morgan State University. He will kick off the conversation about the changing roles of historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs).
The event will also spotlight partnerships between HBCUs and tech companies, and top supporters of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) programs at 15 ABET-accredited engineering schools. Join us Friday, June 24th from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Click here to register.
The summit will highlight recent outcomes of the collaboration between HBCUs and minority-serving institutions. There will be sessions on technology commercialization, artificial intelligence (AI) and HBCUs, the transformative power of 5G, and a special presentation by Dr. Wilson, who leads the largest HBCU in Maryland.
“We are excited to present this summit to our audience as it will showcase the power of technology and how far we have come. I am honored to have Dr. David Wilson join us to talk about how HBCUs are adapting to the technological changes we’re seeing today,” Tyrone Taborn, CEO of Career Communications Group, said.
