Earlier this month, the U.S. House of Representatives approved the surface transportation and water infrastructure bill, which news outlets described as a first step toward the infrastructure legislation that Congress hopes to complete in September.

The bill, which includes provisions from President Biden’s trillion-dollar proposal, authorizes additional spending for roads, bridges, highway safety, electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, rail, transit, drinking, and wastewater infrastructure.

During CCG’s town hall, Senator Cardin will take questions from the small business community, university representatives, and community organizations on minority engagement as it relates to the new Infrastructure Bill.

Attendees will also have time to ask questions on how to gain certification through relevant training and educational programs, and how to create awareness of the bill’s impact.

Small business owners, students, faculty, staff, and people from historically underserved communities are encouraged to attend.
