The BEYA Conference kicks off on Thursday, February 13 in Washington D.C. Hosted by The Council of HBCU Engineering Deans and US Black Engineer & Information Technology magazine, the event offers students and professionals information on the education, training, and experience, as well as skills and requirements for jobs in the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) workforce.

Students attend the career fair to meet top employers, take advantage of resources designed to enhance job search, and get tools for a successful STEM career. Sponsors and exhibitors will have opportunities to enhance their visibility in the STEM community and recruit new hires.

Other events at BEYA are the HBCU Innovation hall and presentations. It’s an opportunity to learn about the cutting-edge research that is taking place at these institutions. The Pre-College Program is also an opportunity for you to connect with organizations that are working to grow the STEM pipeline and build the digital workforce.

Whether you are in the job market or not, don’t miss the career fair. It is often the place to sample new technologies and experience best practices in the industry,  get access to training, networking, role models, and mentors.
