As Veterans Advanced Energy Week gets underway (August 2-6), we profile Al Trimble, an influential Veterans Advanced Energy Project (VAEP) leader on the BEYA STEM Conference circuit.

Earlier this year, the VAEP, which is is designed to drive leadership by recruiting, equipping, and empowering U.S. military veterans who understand the importance of the evolving energy landscape, issued a welcome message to Trimble.

A retired U.S. Marine Corps colonel, Trimble has served on the VAEP Advisory Committee since March 2021. His last post in the Marines was as commanding officer of Marine Corps Logistics Base (MCLB) in Albany, GA.

“Al’s leadership put the MCLB Albany defense community at the vanguard of critical infrastructure, energy security, and resilience,” the VAEP statement read in March. “Al is deeply engaged in community building as well as civic action.”

During the 2020 BEYA STEM Conference, Trimble hosted a panel on global energy, working with experts to promote energy trends and engage with employers through a series of jobseeking features. David Albritton, an executive coach and STEM consultant posted comments about the 2020 panel on LinkedIn.

The Veterans Advanced Energy Project (VAEP) is managed by the Global Energy Center within the Atlantic Council, a nonpartisan 501(c)3 nonprofit.

VAEP is dedicated to veterans and reservists working to strengthen US national security through careers in the advanced energy sector.

Hosted by the Atlantic Council Global Energy Center, Veterans Advanced Energy Week (VAEW) is a virtual experience where participants gain insight into the technology, policy, and economic trends that are driving the global energy transition from senior leaders and experts across industry, academia, and government.
