Varian Johnson is a writer and an engineer. He was born and raised in Florence, South Carolina, and attended the University of Oklahoma, where he received a BS in Civil Engineering. Varian is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, Words of Wisdom Writer's Society, and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Varian now lives in Austin, TX with his wife, Crystal. Red Polka Dot In A World Full Of Plaid is his first novel.
