2007 Black Engineer of the Year named Senior Vice President at IBM

Rod Adkins has been named Senior Vice President, Development and Manufacturing for IBM Systems and Technology Group. In his new position, Adkins will be responsible for the company's global systems and technology development, as well as IBM's Semiconductor Research and Development Center and semiconductor manufacturing operations. Company sources have described the recent promotion as " the logical next step in the continuing integration of IBM's systems and technology development and operations." Rod Adkins was the recipient of the 2007 Black Engineer of the Year Award.
